For this 2 ½ minute Director’s Cut, the entire soundworld needed to be created from scratch. Location recording took place in the forests of Brandenburg, with the sounds of the environment taking more prominence than the musical score until the touching climax. Film actor Charlie Rawes sacrificed his larynx to give voice and character to the titular Troll in an epic display of vocal gruffness.
