We were pretty chuffed when BMF invited us to work with Emmy award-winning director Patrick Clair on a brand campaign for one of Australia’s most respected newspapers. As a dialogue-free, “title sequence” style film, it was critical for the music to be instantly recognisable, and interwoven with sound design that breathed life into the fine animated movements. We started by hitting whatever we could find with whatever else we could find, then tempo warped, looped and sampled the results until, like good journalism should, we’d sifted some sanity out of the madness.
