When Major Tom invited us to compose for this project, the off-kilter story of Method Actor Mick Diabolo instantly put us in mind of that great wellspring of musical impersonation - karaoke. Using as many lo-fi synths and recording techniques as we knew how, we created a score that blends the lush relaxation of an unearned Sunday morning off with the obvious NQR of a karaoke backing.
